PRAYER FOR REDEDICATION
by Moni Guyer

SUMMARY: Making a renewed commitment to Christ has eternal implications.
Because there is such a precious gift inside, you want to make sure that you are in right standing with God. As you know, sin hinders the life of God flowing through your life. In the atonement for our sins is wholeness of every kind. Salvation is the greatest treasure ever given to mankind. So, run, today, into the arms of the Father and make things right with Him.

Evaluting Current Sitatuion?
Perhaps you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. However, you may not be living for Him right now. Perhaps His love seems distant. Maybe you don't even know if you are going to heaven. If you don't feel as close to Jesus as you did some time back, would you like to pray this prayer with me and rededicate your life to the Lord?

Father, in Jesus Name, I ask you the best way I know how that you forgive my sins and take my life and direct it, lead it, and guide it, all the days of my life. I want to know You in a more personal way. Help me to grow in Your Word. I believe that You died on the Cross for me and that You were raised from the dead. I confess You as my Lord. I repent of my sins, both known and unknown, and I ask You to forgive me. Open my blinded eyes that I might see and know You better and that I might see and know myself.

Lord Jesus, You chose me and appointed me to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. You are the Gardener. You prune every branch that bears fruit, so it will be even more fruitful. Therefore, I yield myself to you. I commit myself to bring forth the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. I renounce and turn from the fruit of the flesh, because I belong to You. Even as I go from this place, help me to identify things of the flesh so that I can more fully give myself to You.

Father, I thank You that I am good ground. I commit to hearing Your Word regularly. I want to understand it. I desire that the Word would bear much fruit in my life. I want to be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth fruit in its season. Jesus, help me to find a family of believers, who will help me to grow. I commit to look for those so that I can be accountable to your Word and daily growth.

Father, in Jesus' name, I thank You for filling me with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that I may walk worthy of You and become fruitful in every good work and increase in the knowledge of You.

Lord, let me know what I can do to serve You better. I give myself to You fully and ask You to please come in and take control of my life. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Because you are making a fresh commitment to follow the Lord, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment. Here are some great guidelines.

  1. Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
  2. Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
  3. Go regularly to a local church where you can worship God.
